Job Description

Role Impact:Committed to providing a high level of service and maintenance in the daily operation of a multifunctional facility in order to meet and exceed the requirements and expectations of all whom may work/visit the facility.What you will deliver:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs required for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and property in order to maintain corporate image and provide tenants and customers with a safe and healthy environment
  • Support CF property against losses due to vandalism, theft, fire, flood, liability claims and prosecutions resulting from its operation
  • Support and ensure all health, safety and security procedures are adhered to and areas of concern are reported to the appropriate parties in a timely manner in order to limit exposure to liability and loss
  • Detailed and daily attention to central heating & cooling plant(s) and related critical systems to ensure a comfortable environment for tenants and patrons
  • Test/Inspect regulated & non-regulated equipment on a routine basis (ie. Motors, fans, valves, bells, filters, belts, etc) for proper operations ensuring tenant and customer safety
  • Participate in team based routine inspections and repairs of all common, back of house and maintenance areas (i.e. lighting, ceiling, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, concrete, asphalt, etc)
  • Respond to tenants concerns regarding HVAC issues by solving problems, making adjustments or recommendations as required in order to maintain lease agreements, reduce repair costs and ensure a high level of customer service to tenants and customers embracing a Client First Strategy
  • Contact and collaborate with CF 3rd party contractors for planning, quotes and repairs
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate required
  • In possession of or are enrolled in a designation program like RPA, FMA/FMP, SFP etc considered an asset
  • SMA or SMT (BOMA) an asset
  • Minimum combined two (2) years’ experience in heating plant operations & facility maintenance
  • HVAC and other related equipment preferably in a mixed use environment an asset
  • Knowledge of general maintenance and procedures (i.e. plumbing, electrical, tiling, drywalling, painting, etc);
  • Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge and skill using technology and computer related programs: Computers/Laptops, Cellular Phones/Tablets, Microsoft Office, Gmail, Energy management and preventative systems software or comparable systems etc.
  • Available evenings, weekends and holidays
