Job Description

Founded in 2003, AbaData is a leading B2B SaaS company providing GIS mapping data to the energy, renewables, telecom, and critical infrastructure industries in Western Canada. AbaData is used by thousands of users every day to view accurate and current information on rural land information.Currently, we are looking to hire a Business Development Executive. You’ll join a world class team who are passionate about creating leading mapping applications and technologies.Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to successfully closing deals; with a focus on acquiring high value enterprise customers
  • Work with existing clients to identify growth opportunities, provide sales presentations and manage product evaluations
  • Drive customer adoption of the existing platform, as well as new products and applications
  • Assist the customer support team in responding to usability and functionality requests from customers
  • Adapt onboarding, training, and customer support materials as needed
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally to ensure solutions are evolving to meet customer needs. Work closely with management team to translate customer feedback into future product requirements
  • Work with senior management to build a sales plan and associated metrics
  • Represent the brand with enthusiasm and excitement at industry trade shows
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business/Marketing, or a business diploma and relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years proven solution-oriented sales experience in SaaS
  • 3-5 years customer facing experience
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • The ability to tell compelling stories rather than scripted sales pitches
  • Ability to own and grow client relationships
  • Highly self-motivated and well-organized
  • Detail-oriented, focused, able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize multiple demands, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interest in technology with an ability to quickly learn new products and solutions,
  • Previous experience in the energy industry, specifically around GIS mapping, surveying, line locating, etc. is desirable

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
