Accommodations are available during the hiring process, upon request.As a Business Support Analyst, you will be responsible for integrating business processes, detailed analysis of information, user requirement surveys, and technology into interactive business applications. This is done through liaison between the Assessment & Tax Business Unit, Information Technology (IT) and internal service providers or external vendors. This position plays a major role in the support, assessment and analysis of system changes, and tactical management of the information systems, services, and environment to meet the business units operational needs and technology improvement plans. Primary duties include:

  • Provide cross-functional analysis of Assessment & Tax systems in support of defined business processes and operational integrity.
  • Oversee problem and change management for Assessment & Tax business systems and associated documentation.
  • Strategic development of business and operational systems used by the business unit.
  • Support staff in the delivery of the information systems program, services and projects.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and project coordination for technology improvement initiatives and special projects, including various reporting activities.
  • Provide technical support and information to users as required.
  • Anticipate, research and develop solutions to address business system problems.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems development, project management and/or change management.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, and Excel) including Visual Basic, as well as expertise in database management systems (Microsoft Access, and Oracle) is required.
  • Previous experience in report generation using Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Structured Query Language (SQL), web development and maintenance support are also required.
  • Previous experience in defining business processes will be considered as an asset.
  • Success in this position requires demonstrated business communication skills, research skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business specialists.
