We offer competitive salaries, benefits and opportunities to grow your career.Position Overview:Under the direction of the Facilities Manager and the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the administration, operation and supervision of all staff in the housekeeping department.The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in helping maintain the casinos professional image. With an eye for detail, they lead staff to ensure all public and employee areas as well as guest rooms meet top-notch standards of cleanliness and quality that align with departmental policies. The ideal candidate should be a leader with customer service experience and strong mentoring abilities—capable of keeping their composure in highly pressured environments where fast-paced multitasking is necessary. Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

  • Please note, this shift is from 10:30PM to 7:00AM.
Responsibilities include:
  • Performs all supervisor related functions, such as hiring, training, performance management as well as ongoing development and annual performance reviews of existing staff.
  • Plans and creates work schedules and schedules shifts for staff to ensure sufficient staffing to provide quality service.
  • Delegates work assignments. Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.
  • Inspects work performed by the staff on a daily basis to assure that standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained. Helps to establish standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
  • Ensuring record of daily assignments is complete, signed off on and turned in.
  • Provides learning and development opportunities for Tsuut’ina employees.
  • Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.
  • Complete Administrative Paperwork as required i.e. Performance Reviews, Weekly Timesheets, etc.
  • Check Casino and Bingo floors to ensure everything completed as required for opening that day.
  • Make morning schedule for break.
  • Inventory supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
Education and Experience:
  • 3-5 years experience in a lead or supervisor capacity in hospitality and/or gaming industry
  • 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping industry
  • First Aid Training
  • WHMIS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to, promote, maintain and deliver impeccable service standards at all times.
  • Excellent negotiating, oral and written communication skills
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Customer service experience and well-developed leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor associates.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Must be able to work in a diverse high stress environment (work-load, conflict situations, etc).
  • Ability to maintain their composure even when dealing with angry or demanding patrons or employees
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team oriented environment, and be able to function independently also.
  • Accurate and clear, concise reporting.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
  • Must be aware of and able to work in a smoke environment.
  • May require lifting weight of up to approximately 50 lbs.
