Come Work For the Best!We currently have multiple Health Care Aide (HCA) opportunities available at Retirement Home in ‘CANMORE’. Home Care Assistance provides care with the mission to change the way the world ages.Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, OvernightJob DescriptionAs a Certified HCA, you will be working alongside a team of health care professionals providing ADL support for residents.Responsibilities:

  • Daily health check-ups of all the clients and record if any sickness.
  • Provide bedside and personal care to the one needed. Help them move, bathe, oral hygiene, and toileting etc.
  • Maintain daily health care records and all the other necessary reports.
  • Assist clients with medication or reminders in accordance with government policy.
  • Also, assist with housekeeping such as laundry and make beds.
  • Reporting behavioural and clinical changes to a Registered Nurse, or a Manager.
  • Perform the sitter duties for any client whenever needed.
  • Keep the surroundings around the clients neat and clean.
Job Requirements:
  • ** A valid drivers license and valid car insurance is needed**
  • Current and valid HCA Certification
  • Current and valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
  • Immunization Records
  • 2-step TB Test results
  • Covid Vaccination Certificates
  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills
  • 2 Professional References
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in working with patients who have chronic and acute conditions. Ability to problem solve quickly, passionate, compassionate, honest, reliable, confident and highly sociable. Must have at least 1-3 years of experience caring for the elderly as an HCA.
