Job Description

Job Description - Class 1 Driver for Water Truck and Vacuum TrucksBadger Daylighting is currently seeking to fill immediate opportunity for professional drivers to support projects in the Calgary, AB area. However, work on other out of town projects is required. The ideal candidate will also have hydrovac and or vacuum truck experience.Training will be provided for people with a desire to succeed, are clean cut, and can pass a drug and alcohol test.Requirements

  • Previous vacuum truck or water truck experience would be a significant asset.
  • Positive attitude towards safety and willingness to learn.
  • Mechanical inclination an asset.
  • Must be able to work with a partner and fit into the team atmosphere.
  • Must demonstrate a strong customer service focus, being able to handle a wide array of customer requests on site, and interacting with many different personalities is key.
  • A class 1 driver’s license is required with driving experience, general knowledge of the area is required.
  • Safety tickets are not mandatory, but a great asset - First Aid/CPR, C.S.T.S., H2S, Fall Protection and Ground Disturbance.
  • Must be ok with flexible hours, start and end times vary day to day.
  • Being available for weekend work is necessary.
  • Long hours required particularily spring, summer and fall.
  • Willing to learn and being coachable is key.
  • Summer project work will be available next summer and fall in Fernie.
  • Can listen to directions and follow procedures and work independently.
  • Be prepared for physically demanding outdoor work year-round.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must currently live in Alberta.
