Job Description

Kids U is a growing Accredited Early Childhood Learning Institute with multiple locations in Calgary, AB that continues to set the standard for excellence. Our quality child care, preschool and kindergarten programs build strong brains for life. Through natural light filled spacious rooms and learning materials, we offer an innovative and welcoming environment that is captivating and stimulating for both adults and children.When you work in Early Childhood Learning your customers are children and we want you to make their environment safe and clean.Locations: Centennial, McKnight and Bridgeland.Hours: Monday - Friday 5:30 pm +Please have a Completed Police Clearance form for the Vulnerable Sector ready upon hire.Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize high touch points services, glass, all walls, light switches and doors.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly childcare campus including entrance, classrooms, offices, bathrooms, lunchroom and kitchen.
  • Daily cleaning duties such as dust, mop/vacuuming, sweeping.
  • Heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, cleaning frames, mirrors and removing garbage
  • Seasonal, routine maintenance activities such as leaf pick up, salting the sidewalk, cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalk
  • Complete daily health and safety checks and notify management of any need for repairs
  • Steam chairs and carpets once a week
  • Attend and participate in health and safety meetings
  • Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time
To be Successful at Kids U you Need:
  • 2 years’ experience working in daycare, schools or health industry
  • Comfortable working with various materials such as disinfectants, general cleaning.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal reference check (within the last six months)
  • Valid Standard First Aid
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and punctual
  • Proactive in matters relating to health and safety
  • Strong collaboration skills and team player
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Health and safety certificate
