LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic Calgary Fish Creek is a fitness clinic based in SE Calgary located in the Midnapore Health Plus BuildingPOSITION AVAILABLE: CLINICAL EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST 1 casual part-time (may lead to full-time) position 3 - 12 hours per week. With opportunity for increased hours as membership grows. LIVE WELL Exercise Clinics bridge the gap between traditional gyms and hospital-based rehabilitation. We see people for prevention of chronic disease as well as for treatment and maintenance of chronic conditions. Our members come in all ages and sizes with the common goal of living healthier lives.Who are we looking for

• Compassionate, energetic exercise professionals with kinesiology degrees and Clinical Exercise Physiology certification (ACSM or CSEP)

• Health Clinicians proficient in taking blood pressures and pulse readings at rest and while active in exercise

• Self-starters, who work well in franchise environment with specific health and safety protocols and program design elements

• Empathetic individuals with strong emotional intelligence who can work with members at all different levels of health and wellness, including those managing recent or chronic health concerns

• Naturally charismatic individuals who understand the importance of building a safe, caring and highly positive wellness environment

• Independent workers who are comfortable leading between 1-10 people at a time

• Natural team leaders comfortable working in a new Clinic that requires community engagement activities to assist with promoting free guest experiences to encourage new memberships (ie, trade show booths and giveaways at local businesses, presenting Lunch and Learn information to Affiliated Medical professionals etc.)

What are your responsibilities in this job

• Case management of members.

• Providing clinical parameters you, and future team members can use to create a safe and effective exercise program.

• Working with other fitness professionals to deliver a safe, supportive and fun environment.

• Supervising small group training sessions.

• Collecting vital measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate and blood sugars.

• Using coaching skills to help members set goals and achieve success.

• Smiling, laughing and genuinely having fun with your co-workers and members!

What qualifications do you needMandatory Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology

• Clinical Exercise Physiology certification (ACSM or CSEP). Demonstrated competency and a willingness to self-study in order to obtain this certification within 6 months of employment will be considered if all qualifications are met.

• Valid CPR/AED and first aid certification.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lead a small groups in occasional “Fun Day” activities that involve beginner dance moves, circuit training, and other wellness initiatives

• A desire to add your expertise and energy to a fun and fast-growing new healthcare company.

Experience:

• Clinical Exercise Physiologist: 1 year (Preferred)

• Clinical Exercise Physiology Certification (Required ACSM or CSEP)

Education:

• Bachelors Degree (Required)

License:

• CPR/AED & First Aid (Required)
