Job Description

Your Opportunity:The Provincial Clinical Facilitator, MHA and CTOs must have significant knowledge of the Mental Health Act, including Community Treatment Orders, preferably with front line experience in addictions and mental health. In conjunction with the Manager and team, this position has multiple responsibilities within the MHA-CTO team: Develop educational materials, including on-line presentations, and provide training on MHA & CTOs to multiple stakeholder groups. Education examples include Zone non-mental health areas; in-patient teams; law enforcement; protective services, etc. Central point of contact for zones for questions, advice, and resources, related to aspects of the legislation. Be prepared to work with Zone psychiatrists and operational leads, AHS Legal, and ministry partners regarding aspects of the MHA. Continue with revising and updating documents, inclusive of FAQs, process map, and provide analyses of issues/solutions, as required. Support work related to Apprehension, Conveyance and Hand-off of clients on Form 10s, and other activities to strengthen the Mental Health Act processes, etc. Significant, relevant experience working collaboratively with community and ministerial partners, consumer advocate groups; knowledge of issues encountered when accessing services for individuals with mental illness and complex needs. As a Clinical Facilitator, you will be responsible for the development and evaluation of clinical services. You will provide leadership, consultation and work collaboratively with front line healthcare providers and other stakeholders to identify system barriers, standardize practice and enable the delivery of services. As a Clinical Facilitator, you will be supporting cross program partnerships and collaboration. Required Qualifications:Please see additional qualifications.Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelor’s, with preference for Master’s level in relevant clinical health field. Minimum of 5 years applicable experience in addiction and mental health. Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act legislation. Demonstrated excellent communication, collaboration and group facilitation skills involving diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in translating clinical and legislative knowledge into practice, process document, guidelines, resources and tools. Understanding of Mental Health Act certification processes is required. A demonstrated, clear pattern of professional and personal development. Experience working across zones in strategy, protocol and policy development.Preferred Qualifications:A provincial view with understanding of both urban and rural is a strong asset.Quick Apply
