Job Description

Our work culture includes a dynamic mix of professionals, with a diversity of skills and expertise.Do you have a working understanding of refineries, oilsands and logistics operations We are looking for a Commodity Scheduler – Refined Products to execute daily scheduling and balancing physical terminal positions.Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a scheduling, planning or analyst role
  • Background in operations within the downstream Refined Products field is an asset
  • Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, economics or engineering
  • Systems experience in trade capture, dispatch, scheduling and SAP is preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Has full autonomy in daily scheduling and balancing physical products positions
  • Practice independence in batch decisions – identify issues and execute to resolve
  • Key contact with Marine, Rail, Trucking and Terminal operational staff to optimize the movements of Refined Products across our network of terminals and customers.
  • Prepare logistics and demand inputs for the weekly refinery plans
  • Verify volumes are accurate and ensure right contract and pricing to minimize accruals to actuals variances
  • Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data
  • Takes broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions in collaboration with the other team members and their respective orbits
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
