This will encompass leadership, employee, and major project communications that inform, engage, and inspire our STaR employees and support operational excellence. This role will work closely with our Corporate Communications team contributing stories and content to our enterprise-wide digital, trade media and social media communication activities.Located in Calgary and interacting with leaders and colleagues across the STaR organization in Canada, USA, and International the successful candidate will be a commercially astute and seasoned communications generalist. You will be experienced serving the needs of technical teams within an entrepreneurial business.Highly creative, organized and a natural collaborator, you are an exceptional writer and communicator across diverse media platforms, with a demonstrable track record of project planning, management and execution. Driven, self-motivated with a fast-paced work ethic, the successful candidate will hit the ground running, earning the trust and confidence of the colleagues and clients you serve.How you will add value:Partner with leaders and teams across our STaR business ensuring they have effective communications support that underpins their operational and strategic growth needs.Develop and execute leadership communication plans to ensure our STaR operational employees understand our growth strategy, have visibility to our accomplishments and are focused on key priorities.Plan and deliver annual plans and event-specific messaging for STaR Town Halls and contribute key STaR messages, accomplishments, and stories to Parkland’s all employee video calls.Help strengthen our STaR safety and operational excellence culture and performance and drive safety performanceEmbed and bring to life our purpose, values, and leadership behaviours across our STaR business.Plan and execute STaR Employee communications and contribute stories to Parkland’s intranet.Develop communications that help amplify our STaR accomplishments across digital channels.Play a critical role communicating enterprise-wide initiatives in a relevant way across the STaR business.Develop and maintain issues preparedness plans for potential STaR operational events and engage with the Corporate Communications team on crisis and reputational matters.Drive STaR employee participation in our employee giving program.If this sounds like you – we should talk:You are a seasoned communication generalist with 5-10 years of experience.You thrive in entrepreneurial, fast growth environments and working alongside operational and technical teams.You understand the requirements of a publicly traded company and can balance these with the promotional drive of an entrepreneurial operating segment.Your previous colleagues recognize you as a strategic thinker, effective planner and collaborator.You provide critical thought, and creative solutions.
