This position will be based out of our Westview Town Suites facility located at 5050-50 Ave. S. W. T3E 8B1. (This position provides this opportunity) Benefit from flexible hours, shift differentials, career advancement.Hours of work: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM with (48 hours per pay period - 8 hours per shift)Reporting to the Community Manager, the Community Night Attendant is responsible for the overall cleanliness and safety of the community during their shift.Key responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for the daily cleaning of resident units including bed-making, linen and towel change.
  • Responsible for the laundry and cleanliness of all common areas and flooring.
  • Responsible for the overall security and safety of the community and residents during the assigned shift
  • Resolves any emergency situations which may arise and completes all paperwork and follows procedures as required
  • Reports any safety issues to the Community Manager and is knowledgeable in emergency procedures and can act accordingly
Desired qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience into housekeeping/room attending experience is essential.
  • Must possess a high standard of hygiene and personal appearance.
  • Good communication skills, basic computer skills and excellent customer service skills, Pleasing attitude and the ability to relate to seniors.
  • Must have Food Handling course, WHMIS, and First Aid or willing to take.
Additional Requirements for Casual Staff:
  • The successful candidate has availability of at least 4 days per week and indicates those days and time upon hire
  • Must be willing to work multiple roles and provide coverage where required
  • Must be willing to work in multiple communities
