Bow River Paving, part of Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, has been providing asphalt paving services for private and commercial projects in Alberta since 1991. Our operations also include grading, gravelling, and snow removal services.Bow River is currently looking to hire a Concrete Form Setter who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and high-quality workmanship to every project.Roles and ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood materialsBuild and lay out wood and metal forms according to specificationsSet forms for the construction of concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other structuresLoad, unload, and transport construction materialsRemove rubble and other debris at construction sitesCheck formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materialDirect placement of concrete into forms or surfacesCompact concrete with tamper or compactor to bring to the required gradeRequired SkillsBasic carpentry skillsAbility to read construction plansStrong attention to detailPride in quality workmanshipAbility to follow instructionsRequired ExperienceCity of Calgary Road Construction experienceConcrete Formwork ExperienceDriver’s License is essentialWeekend work and 10 hours plus work daysAdditional RequirementsAbility to work outside, on uneven ground, for long periods of time in different weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for long periods of timeThe position often requires overtime and can be seasonal in natureTravel may be requiredThis is a full-time, permanent position.
