Job Description

The Corporate Sales Manager is deployed to attract business from the business and individual travel markets to Hotel Arts, Kensington Riverside Inn and their related companies. An experienced sales professional will leverage their contacts, initiate sales activities, and communicate with clients to exceed sales targets.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIESCorporate Travel Sales:Be knowledgeable of the strategic sales plans for Hotel Arts and Kensington Riverside Inn to sell and negotiate room rates based on achieving company goals, growing average room rates and number of room nights sold.

  • Conduct market research of corporate segment in the competitive set for Hotel Arts and Kensington Riverside Inn (i.e.: where accounts are booking, at what rates, with what special considerations) and develop action plans to achieve objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and execute action plans to expand the corporate account market segment at the inn and hotel in terms of qualified accounts, corporate mapping, and revenue expenditures by those accounts.
  • Respond to RFPs for Corporate Accounts in a timely manner with detailed information helping to differentiate Hotel Arts and the Kensington Riverside Inn from the competition.
  • Create proposals and contracts for prospective clients in a manner that promote our service ideal of being “partners in planning” that address their needs regarding pricing, financial commitments and expectations while differentiating our brand from the competition.
  • Develop and make presentations to key reference groups (i.e. travel agents and corporate travel managers) in the hotel and off property.
  • Prepare, plan and conduct effective Sales trips in targeted markets locally and abroad on the basis of concrete objectives and follow up action plans.
  • Respond to leads generated through Lanyon and other booking portals.
  • Follow up with clients at conclusion of their events to thank them and invite them back.
  • Produce room night bookings that meet/exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas through prospecting, networking, responding to inquiries, conducting site inspections, client meetings and building relationships with corporations, industry suppliers, travel planners, tour companies, tourism industry officials, etc.
  • Participate in site inspections, FAMs, trade shows, sales trips, hosted client events, community initiatives as required.
  • Participate in Yield and Sales Meetings to enhance rate strategies to generate higher occupancy.
  • Contribute to the wellspring of ideas discussed in Sales Meetings that include, but are not limited to, customer service enhancements, operational improvements, profit gain strategies, customer appreciation initiatives, sales and marketing promotions, etc.
Correspondence:Embrace the service ideal of being “quarterbacks of communication” to ensure that all internal correspondence regarding accounts helps ensure that our Operations Teams are set up for success in terms of servicing our clients.Maintain accurate, up-to-date files and client contact information according to the standards established by the Sales Department.Communicate with agencies, travel managers and clients about new developments at Hotel Arts and special promotions during distressed or need periods.Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required for internal use as well as for conveying ongoing production with clients.Communicate with our clients in a manner consistent with our service ideals to “thank the customer and invite them back” to convey our sincere appreciation for their business.Communicate with operations team about new developments in the Corporate Travel Market.Operations:Ensure corporate rates are properly loaded by the Revenue Management Team in the internal reservation system as well as the Global Distribution System and inform clients when we are ready to accept reservations.Close business effectively and coordinate all details to ensure delivery of the promised services in a manner that promotes our service ideals.Inform the Operations Team of corporate accounts, incoming VIPs, site inspections, corporate solicitation events, special promotions.Perform other assigned comparable or transient duties that are within the domain of knowledge and skills required by the position description.Employee Growth:Collaborate with Director of Business Development on a quarterly basis to explore areas of employee growth that will enhance the skillsets of the Corporate Travel Sales Manager.Health & Safety:Adhere to and promote the principles outlined in the company’s Health & Safety Policy to help ensure a safe work environment for all our employees, guests and contractors.wPRFDLAQDQQuick Apply
