About MRUFounded in 1910 and located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mount Royal University grew into a vibrant college in the 1930s and became a mid-sized university in 2009. The city of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation.About the Faculty of AviationThe Department of Aviation, Faculty of School of Business and Communication Studies, at Mount Royal University invites applications for a part-time sessional appointment for the Winter 2023 semester which will commence January 24th and end on April 21st.The Department currently offers a diploma in Aviation. Students earn their Commercial Licence and Group 1 Instrument Rating at the Springbank Campus while taking the academic courses at the main MRU campus.About the RoleThe department is seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following in-person course:Name of Course: AIRF 2101 History & Air LawDays & Times Offered: Wednesday, 2:30-5:20 pmCourse Description: This course is a wide-ranging examination of the Aviation regulations, including the structure of the regulatory system, the organization of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and the rules of the air. Students will also explore the historical context of aviation. In addition, the course explores the implications of the legal issues that confront pilots and the airline industry.Responsibilities
