Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: System Controls & Monitoring DepartmentJob Post End Date: 12/06/2022About this opportunity:Cenovus currently has an employee position available for a Cyber Security Analyst in the System Controls and Monitoring Team. The team is responsible for IT Governance, Risk and Compliance as well as general IT security controls administration and maintenance. The position will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of Cyber Security policies and standards as well as assisting with Cyber Security Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance work. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various IT groups as well as possessing a strong attention to detail and have solid problem-solving skills.About Cenovus:We’re a Canadian-based integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary. Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Cyber Security Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance governance activities
  • Support in the establishment, execution and maintenance of a cybersecurity risk management framework and process
  • Complete cyber risk assessments to identify risks and evaluate potential impact to the business
  • Work with our Internal Audit team and have knowledge of audit, IT operational and/or IT risk management experience
  • Review existing security policies and standards
  • Identify and document existing security controls
  • Customize security policies and standards in accordance with business requirements
Qualifications:
  • University or college degree or equivalent experience in IT
  • 4+ years of related experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry
  • Good knowledge of Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Good knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.)
  • Process oriented with the ability to discuss, advise, coordinate, and document processes
  • General technical knowledge of IT network, infrastructure, and software
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and verbal/written communications skills
  • Self-reliant/self-motivated and must work well in a dynamic team environment
