Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Positions AvailableCalgary, Alberta(FT/PT/Casual)Who We AreIn late 2021, Pureform Radiology joined Synthesis Health. Synthesis is a pioneer of medical technology solutions that owns and operates distributed radiology, medical imaging, and laboratory clinics. Pureform Radiology is a leading multi-modality diagnostic imaging provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care in the medical imaging field. Pureform Radiology offers Ultrasound, Mammography, Pain Management, Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, X-Ray and Pediatric imaging services across our four Calgary and Airdrie clinics.What We Are Looking ForPureform Radiology is seeking a Full-time, Part-time, or Casual Sonographer to join our team at various area clinics. We are looking for dedicated and proactive Sonographers who want to be a part of something bigger, take the initiative on their own and who share our approach to exceptional patient care. *Permanent South Trail clinic location preference given to a sonographer with Breast experience.*CompensationCompetitive salary based on education and experienceScheduleTo be determined.Requirements

  • 2 years of ultrasound experience.
  • All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
  • 3 year diploma in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent education.
  • Active credentialed member of Sonography Canada
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Breast
  • Musculoskeletal
Responsibilities
  • Conducts patient clinical assessment and performs the sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Reviews patient medical history and supporting clinical information.
  • Ensures the sonography examination order is complete, contains relevant clinical information, and meets the standard of "medical necessity."
  • Clearly communicates the examination process to the patient.
  • Reviews examination images, synthesizes sonography examination results, and prepares the preliminary findings.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and facility policies, and procedures. Adheres to applicable professional and ethical standards.
  • Train and assess student sonographers, as needed.
  • Participate in accreditation when required.
  • Work effectively as part of the Pureform Radiology team.
