Job Description

Nothing beats a solid days work.Nothing except doing a solid days work with a motivated team of passionate individuals as you grow your career.We are Cask Global Canning Solutions (http://www.cask.com/)Since 1999, weve been providing innovative and affordable canning systems to the worlds small and medium-sized creators of craft beer, cider, wine, cold brewed coffee, kombucha and other life-enhancing beverages. Cask has installed 875+ canning systems in 46 different countries across the world, and now we are looking for a Driver to join our team.DriverAs our new Driver your primary goal is to safely load and deliver completed machines and pick up components from our suppliers.Your ability to work hard and push the pace will be perfect for our fast-paced environment. Youll assist with your inventory and shipping teammates who can always count on you to support and pitch in wherever you can.Your attention to detail will ensure that our working area is clean and safe. You understand that wherever there is a problem, there is a solution and you are constantly finding new ways to resolve them.On a practical level you will:

  • o Safely complete deliveries and pickups using ½ ton truck and trailer.
  • o Operate a forklift to safely move, load and unload machines and components.
  • o Assist with preparation and packaging of components for shipment.
  • o Fill out Bills of Lading for shipments.
  • o Assist inventory and shipping team members when needed.
  • o Assist, on occasion, with machine assembly on the manufacturing floor.
Working at Cask Global Canning SolutionsThis is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary of up to $45,000/year commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive group benefits package (health, dental, etc.), and 3 weeks vacation to start. Youll work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.You‘ll be joining a team that is dedicated to getting the job done well - we believe “good enough,” is not enough.   • Experience operating a light truck and trailer including load securement, strapping and tarping.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • o Basic math skills and ability to correctly read a measuring tape (both metric and imperial scales).
  • o Ability to safely lift 23 kilograms (50 lbs) or more.
  • o Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract is a must.
  • o Forklift experience / license an asset.
  • o First Aid training and safety system experience an asset.
