Shift is Monday to Friday with some Saturday work (OT will be paid after 8 hrs or on any weekend work) and start and end times can vary depending on routes and production. Flexibility is required.Job purposeProvide exemplary customer service to our clients and co-workers, adhering to all corporate and federal transportation safety policies while ensuring safe and damage free delivery of shipments. Encompass best practice when faced with situations that require individual decisionDuties and responsibilitiesEnsure equipment is in safe operating conditionEnsure contents are secure at the beginning of each shift and/or delivery via pre-trip inspection following all compliance requirementsMust always carry accident kit and XRS systemTransport product to customer safely and damage freeLoad and unload shipments of glass at both customer job - site and/or shopLoading and unloading glass will require crane operation and/or manual liftingProvide exemplary customer service to our clients on-siteReport all concerns on damaged shipments to the transportation manager immediately and ensure the Bill of Lading (BOL) is properly notated and/or signed upon each deliveryExperience with operation of forklift, Moffat forklift and Hiab crane are an asset, but training is available for the right candidateQualificationsClass 3 or 5Q license5 demerits or less on driver’s abstractMaximum manual lifting requirement of up to 75 lbsELD logbook, load securement, pre & post trip, and road test experienceWould prefer one or more years of hands on driving experienceMust be comfortable driving a standard transmissionPositive attitude with customer service orientationProactive driving capabilitiesWorking conditions & Physical requirementsDaily and/or weekly overtime required, not to exceed statutory legislationExposure to all elements of weatherMust be able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs at plant location and/or jobsite, shopBe able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time while drivingBe able to maintain composure while exposed to challenging traffic conditions and/or situationsWhat CRH Americas Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRH AmericasCRH Americas has a long and proud heritage as one of North America’s largest corporations.
