Job Description

Woods Homes is a non-profit childrens mental health center based in Calgary and we create and provide quality mental health services that promote and restore the well-being of children and families who struggle with problems big and small.Are you a passionate and dedicated individual interested in making a difference in the lives of children, youth and families Are you committed to cultivating an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates diverse voices at every levelThen we want you to join the Woods Homes team.We are currently searching for a full-time permanent clinician to join the Eastside Community Mental Health Services Therapy Team.ECMHS provides families, couples and individuals therapy using a single session model, virtually (phone/video) and in-person by appointment and walk-in. ECMHS also provides clinical support to other Wood’s Homes programs such as the Inglewood Opportunity Hub. IOH offers housing, education, training, mental health, and employment experiences for vulnerable or at-risk youth up to 29 years of age.As key members of the ECMHS team, the Eastside clinicians are responsible for providing quality clinical services to the clients and programs of Wood’s Homes. You will be representing Wood’s Homes and ECMHS to community professionals, the public, and to individuals and families.This position reports to the Program Supervisor of ECMHS.Responsibilities:

  • Provide family, couple, individual and youth therapy sessions using a single session model
  • Performs assessments of clients as assigned.
  • Completes written and timely records of ongoing clinical work following case management and professional guidelines.
  • Provides clinical consultation to Wood’s Homes programs, as assigned, and enhances clinical skills and knowledge
  • Performs as a member of an inter-disciplinary team and an active participant of the clinical team.
  • Complete all required health and safety training
  • Report workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents (including near misses, injuries, or equipment damage) to their direct supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in psychology, social work, couples and family therapy, nursing, or a related field
  • Experience supervising students enrolled in an accredited counselling program (preferred)
  • Is currently registered by and/or seeking registration/certification in the appropriate professional association
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills
  • In licensed in accordance with the Health Professions Act and provides services in accordance with professional standards, guidelines and ethics
  • Must have own transportation.
