COMMUNITY ANIMATOR – WOMEN’S ECONOMIC PROSPERITY (PERMANENT – 1.0 FTE)As the Community Animator, you will be part of a small but mighty team of creative out-of-the-box thinkers. Yourcollaborative and empowering approach will support community members to champion women’s economic prosperity.You will support, develop and implement mezzo and macro level activities to promote women’s economic advancementand prosperity. Weekend and evening work isrequired to allow for fulsome engagement withcommunity members.BSW, with registration with Alberta college ofSocial workers preferred. Relevant education andexperience will be considered.3 -5 years of related experience.Experience working across different sectors (e.g.social profit, business, community organizations).Strong command of community development,and gender-based analysis.Working knowledge of financial empowermentapproaches.Proven track record of building partnerships andsuccessfully overseeing community initiatives.Proven record of working with diversepopulations, multicultural and IndigenousPeoples.Strong computer literacy including MS Office suiteand able to learn new software.Must be able to read, write, and deliver servicesin English.
