The EES class focuses on building foundational learner skills in functional academics, communication, daily living and citizenship. Programming to promote social-emotional and physical wellbeing are also important features of the EES class.Students may have co-occurring diagnosis such as ADD, ADHD and FAS, as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome. The EA must be flexible, adaptable and have the ability to work in a team environment. Additionally, support in all areas of communication; learning disabilities, anxiety and sensory processing is required.Students may:Require supervision and support with toileting routinesRequire supervision and support when eatingRequire supervision and support with dressing (putting on coat, boots, etc.)Students may demonstrate challenging behaviours:Aggression toward self and others (hitting, biting)Destructive behaviour (throwing, breaking)Disruptive behaviour (tantrums and general defiance)Unsafe behaviour (running, escape/avoidance)The successful applicant will be required to complete a TCI course if they do not already have TCI certification or equivalent.Position DescriptionResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Teacher:
