The EA will work with complex students who are often dysregulated and can have explosive behaviour. Profiles include non-verbal ASD, down syndrome, ODD, ASD. The EA will be supporting a student who is an impulsive eloper and requires constant supervision.The successful candidate will be working with students who have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The students may have moderate to severe cognitive disabilities, and language delays. The EA must be familiar with visual communication systems, visual prompts/schedule, and self-regulation strategies. The ability to build strong relationships with students, adapt to challenging situations and collaborate within a team environment is essential.The position may require the candidate to support students in:
