Due to the nature of our operation, vaccines will be mandatory as we are a fly-in/fly-out facility and proof of vaccines will be required for all air passengers.PositionWe are seeking an Electrical Supervisor for a full time/regular position. The role will be based at the Minto mine, which is a camp-based operation with a two week on/two week off rotation.The Ideal CandidateYou will have:· 8-10 years plant experience, preferably in mining environment;· Journeyman Electrician and certified Red Seal Electrician;· Previous supervisory experience an asset;· Must have working knowledge of Canadian electrical code and CSA M-421 use of electricity in mines;· Minimum 2 years Supervisory Experience in a Diesel powerhouse facility;· Troubleshooting experience with Allan Bradley PLC system;· Experience with Wonderware HMI systems an asset;· Intermediate level Microsoft office and plant CMMS systems;· Must be eligible to work in Canada;· Ability to develop and foster strong working relationships;· Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce;· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;· Valid driver’s license;· Standard First Aid Certificate;· Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.Responsibilities· Build strong maintenance teams that are focused on experience, safety and efficiency;· Identify and coordinate specific training opportunities as needed;· Manage employee progression so that all maintenance crews are balanced;· Design cost effective manpower schedules to support operations;· Ensure that all employees follow safe work practices;· Ensure the development, mentoring and training of all direct reports;· Perform administrative functions including timesheets, scheduling and reports;· Plan and execute all small and major jobs/projects;· Develop predictive/preventative maintenance programs with the use of the CMMS;· Practice and actively promote company environmental, health, safety and operational policies and procedures;· Support maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with recommendations to improve equipment wear cycles with change in standard operating procedures;· Develop new maintenance procedures where new equipment or new systems are introduced;· Take a pro-active approach to reduce environmental risk of work areas;· Follow up on all incident action plans with work orders to make repairs and write procedures where necessary;· Oversee the Site electrical needs, in compliance with Federal and Yukon Electrical Codes & related regulatory / safety requirements;· Oversee the Mill Instrumentation monitoring program;· Oversee and maintain Site electrical quality control processes and procedures;· Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied;· Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task related duties;· Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties;· Be an effective communicator in English (verbal and written) at all levels, including keeping your cross-shift and other team members fully always informed· Participate in site specific training;· Comply with company standards, as well as Yukon Territory and Canadian federal standards;· Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.We thank all candidates for their interest however only those considered for an interview will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, Fly-In/Fly-Out, PermanentApplication question(s):
