Job Description

Enterprise Finance Applications Student - (2211709)The Opportunity:The Enterprise Finance Applications Student position will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments. Building on classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to kick-start a successful career.The Enterprise Applications used by Finance at Canadian Natural includes Oracle ERP EnterpriseOne (JD Edwards), MS PowerBI, Software Automation Tool, OpenInvoice (OI) and various other Finance applications. The Enterprise Application Team consists of individuals with Accounting and Information Systems (IS) skill sets to solve business issues relating to the Finance Applications, as well as develop and maintain integrations from upstream and downstream applications.Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist Business Analysts in projects as required
  • Learn the EnterpriseOne (E1) processes on specific modules to assist in analysis and solving data issues
  • Learn other key applications that support Business process, for example, EssBase, HFM and Open Invoice
  • Learn data mining, querying and analytical tools to analyze data and transform to information
  • Assist in managing data integrity and analysis to solve issues within current configuration
  • Assist in the facilitation and implementation of new configurations
  • Coordinate and facilitate finance application changes through a change management process
  • Perform responsibilities with adherence and respect to all Enterprise Applications processes and controls
  • Gain an understanding on how an ERP can be used in different business areas and how business requirements, experience and system functionality can add value

  • Term length: 8 and 12 months
  • Term start: January 2023 and May 2023
  • Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
  • Work schedule: 5 x 2, 8 HR

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in your 3rd, 4th year of an undergraduate degree program in Accounting or Information Technology
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Accounting concepts and principles
    • Research strategies and analytical thinking
    • Microsoft Office Suite
