Bantrel performs design and procurement services from our Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto offices and delivers construction management and self perform construction services at various Client sites across Canada.Our global reach and local touch is demonstrated by our affiliation with our parent company, Bechtel Corporation, one of the largest EPC companies in the world, and with McCaig Investments, a Canadian owned private company with longstanding ties to the local business community.www.bantrel.comBantrel Co.: My Company | LinkedInIn this role, you will be a champion of diversity & inclusion.Job DescriptionSummary:The Expediting Specialist performs expediting activities on a project to ensure timely delivery of supplier-furnished materials and equipment to meet contractual requirements and project schedule requirements.The Expediting Specialist supports Bantrel’s Vision by demonstrating Bantrel’s Values, and Covenants in all functional, company wide, client and third-party interactions and communications.The Expediting Specialist is responsible for providing leadership and support ensuring Bantrel’s goals and objectives are met.

  • Please note this position is not eligible for a relocation subsidy or living out allowance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Expedites all project materials and equipment in accordance with the expediting plan, Purchase Order and project schedule
  • Monitors supplier, engineering and manufacturing schedules to ensure schedule is maintained and pro-actively manage any possible delays
  • Coordinates and communicates with suppliers and internal disciplines to maintain project schedules and prevent any delays
  • Interfaces with client and project members regarding expediting issues, delay in deliveries and provides corrective measures pro-actively to ensure that schedule and financial risks are mitigated effectively
  • Ensures all relevant documentation is submitted and approved as per the Purchase Order
  • Coordinates with Supplier Quality Surveillance to ensure the scheduled inspections are performed timely and, when issued, Non-Conformity Reports are handled efficiently to avoid any delays to the schedule
  • Coordinates information relating to packing lists and delivery documentation including any documentation required for export purposes
  • Works with Logistics to facilitate delivery as per the on Incoterms specified in the Purchase Order
  • Resolves any Underage, Overage, Shortage or Damages (UOS&D) recorded at time of receipt
  • Ensures Material Receiving Report (MRR) is issued for materials and equipment received at site
  • Attests supplier invoices and any milestone payment schedules
  • Closeouts of Purchase Orders
Qualifications
  • Minimun 1-2 years experience in EPC in the function of Expediting
  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Engineering or Construction Management is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of international Procurement
  • Background knowledge in other Procurement disciplines (Purchasing, Contracts, Supplier Quality Surveillance, Logistics, Field Experience, Materials Management)
  • Fosters a positive and collaborative work culture and champion the Vision, Values and Covenants by leading by example.
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity and a high degree of Emotional Intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with Stakeholders including Clients, Senior Leaders, and frontline employees.
  • Brings a team-centric approach that is supportive and encouraging.
  • Can manage shifting priorities while maintaining deliverable deadlines.
