Central Air Equipment (FAB) Ltd. is currently hiring a new Fabrication Manager. We are a fabricating and packaging company specializing in instrument air and nitrogen generation skid and building packages, supported by our sister companies who provide parts, service, sales and rentals. The ideal candidate will be energetic and passionate about fostering market growth within Oil and Gas sector as well as other Alberta industries, with a proven track record managing a fabrication facility building turnkey packages. We are willing to also consider applicants with alternative project and team management experience that could be applied to our industry.Responsible for the day to day and ongoing activities within our fabrication company, this position will report directly to the General Manager and involve working with management, admin, shop floor personnel and engineering.Primary Responsibilities:· Oversee engineering, procurement, administrative and shop personnel – engineering experience is desirable, but not mandatory· Interface with external customers throughout projects to ensure satisfaction with final deliverables· Provide Operational reports to the Vice President· Work with other management to develop and maintain annual budgets and sales targets· Continuous improvement of shop work flow processes to optimize efficiency and maximize profitability, recommend new initiatives to the General Manager with cost benefit analysis· Devise and implement procurement and subcontracting policies and procedures to ensure the best overall value is realized on each project· Ensure department is properly staffed to handle dynamic work loading· Support sales team with ensuring available engineering staff assistance on high spec, technical engineering quotations, and direct management support/advice on strategy and acceptable terms and conditions of sale· Review and approve CAE drawing and document submittals – preferred but not mandatory· Address shop and general housekeeping requirements· Oversee maintenance of ABSA B31.3 Pressure Piping AQP· Oversee maintenance CSA W47.1 CWB Certification· Work with AR to ensure invoices are sent and funds received per contract agreements· Willingness to participate in business and new market development, sales and marketing efforts when required, dependent on current shop loading· Other duties as requiredQualifications:· 5+ years of Management roles in a Fabrication environment preferred, other industries with similar term of experience will be considered· Project management experience preferred· Proven track record working as a team player· Preference given to those with experience with skid fabrication, pressure piping assembly, compressed air and nitrogen generation systems· Comfort with both electric and engine driven equipment will be beneficial – higher weighting towards electric· Engineer or Engineering Technologist background considered an asset, but is not mandatoryPlease review our website https://centralairequipment.com/custom-fabrication/ to get an understanding of the packages we build.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per yearBenefits:
