Job Description

Facility Cleaner (Evening Shift) 3:30 pm to 10:30/11:00 pmNote - were are looking to fill this position as soon as possible - applicants who have already passed a Criminal Background Check for Vulnerable Sector will be given priority.Webber Academy is a Private School located on the West Side of the City in the community of Aspen. We are currently seeking to applicants for immediate employment.Roles and duties of these positions will include:

  • Cleaning Floors with Auto scrubbers, removing trash and recycling
  • Cleaning classrooms, washrooms and common spaces
  • Dust mop, wet mop and vacuuming floors
  • Sanitizing and wiping down desks, chairs and other touch surfaces
Other duties such as:
  • Dusting
  • Washing floors, walls and doors
  • Sweeping
  • Window Cleaning – inside and out
  • Preparing and safely using cleaning chemicals and protective equipment when and where necessary
Assets
  • A Police Background Check for Vulnerable Sector is required prior to employment. Preference will be given to individuals who already have Vulnerable Sector Clearance or have already applied for their Background Check.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who are not working elsewhere as the flexibility to be available for the opposite shift may be required.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts during school breaks and holidays (Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break)
  • Prior experience stripping, waxing and buffing floors
  • Prior experience operating powered cleaning equipment (Auto Scrubbers, Floor Polishers and Carpet Cleaner).

  • Take direction from supervisors and co-workers
  • Responsible and capable of following procedures
  • Ability to identify safety hazards
  • High personal standards, Self-initiative and ability to work independently
  • Must follow and adhere to workplace safety standards
  • May be asked to work weekends and holidays
IMPORTANT NOTES
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Must pass Criminal Background Check for Vulnerable Sector
  • Must be able to undergo WHMIS training and write exam in English (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
Webber Campus is located on the west side of the City in the community of Aspen and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation will be given preference. City transit via Blue Line and Bus route 156.COVID-19 considerations:Physical distancing, primarily individual tasks and work areas.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $18.00 per hourAdditional pay:
