Job SummaryFiberoptic Cable Technician Job SummaryWe are seeking an organized, reliable, and driven cable technician to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair various voice and data cables for both residential and commercial environments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality service and excited by complex problems and challenges.Job Type / CategoryFiberoptic Cable Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, most often involved with television and internet services
  • Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication
  • Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly
  • Repair related poles and towers to resolve cable issues
  • Pull, route, or label Fiber
  • Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, innerduct, and other related structures
  • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the field service team to resolve complex issues
  • Provide high-quality service
Required Education, Skills and QualificationsCable Technician Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing cable for network communications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  • Some knowledge of industry standard cable specifications
  • Communication skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with other members of the team
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities
  • Commitment to abiding by OSHA and all other safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to identify different colors and learn color codes
  • Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ pounds
