Job Description

The Opportunity: : McElhanney is seeking a Field Operations Lead to join our growing Major Projects team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in surveying looking for a challenging opportunity and work with a dynamic survey team in a fast-paced environment. The position will work closely with the Project Teams and field staff and manage the company’s vehicle fleet, inventory and assigning of equipment, and scheduling equipment maintenance and repairs, in response to project requirements to achieve positive business outcomes while maintaining a significant focus on safety, compliance, and quality.Curious about what this opportunity could mean for you Apply today and join us for a relaxed conversation to help us learn more about your potential new role.What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage truck fleet by coordinating the setup of new vehicles and maintenance of existing vehicles
  • Manage survey equipment by:
  • Tracking current equipment location and storage
  • Organizing maintenance and service
  • Purchasing and deploying new equipment
  • Manage McElhanney internal safety system by:
  • Tracking staff safety tickets
  • Organizing safety training for staff
  • Liaise with Project Managers regarding field staff scheduling
  • Liaise with Field Staff regarding their needs regarding equipment and project details
  • Assist in the onboarding of new field staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Managers or designate
What You’ll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills with experience using MS office suite
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of tasks with support from Project Managers
  • Experience using field survey equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High productivity, attention to detail, and an ability to work well as a team player
  • A Valid driver’s license is required
