Job Description

Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. publicly listed with a business objective to build a diversified midstream and infrastructure company in the North American natural gas, natural gas liquids and crude oil, refined product, and renewable energy space. Its strategy is to profitably grow and create shareholder value through the acquisition and development of oil and gas infrastructure. Tidewater plans to achieve its business objective by providing customers with a full service, vertically integrated value chain, including gas plants, pipelines, railcars, export terminals, storage, downstream facilities, and various renewable initiatives.Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst, Midstream Finance. This is a full-time position based in Calgary.What will you be doing

  • Providing support to the Midstream Finance Team
  • Preparing and entering accurate and timely accounting entries; generate, complete, and provide correct variance analysis on assigned internal monthly LOS Reports.
  • Driving improvement in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial analysis and reporting processes
  • Working with different Business Units to review and ensure financial accuracy on our Midstream Assets
  • Optimizing and documenting various business processes related to internal and external reporting matters
  • Successfully working with all Business Units to manage financial master data, including maintenance on DOIs, cost centers and AFEs
  • Interpreting and manipulating substantial volumes of data, and reporting results to Management/Executive Leadership
  • Leading and helping in the preparation of Quarterly Performance Asset Reviews. Including collection and coordination of essential strategic information from all pertinent Teams
  • Aiding with the creation and stewardship of weekly Forecasting and consolidation of yearly Budget models
Special Expectations:
  • Responding to requests from External Auditors
  • Preparing ad hoc Economic analysis and Management reports as needed
  • Providing adaptable support to Management for any cross functional Projects that may be required
Your Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, specific Oil and Gas experience would be considered an asset; previous Joint Venture or Operations Accounting knowledge would be highly considered.
  • Experience with Qbyte, Open Invoice and Energylink
  • Proficient computer skills, including an advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders within the organization.
  • Proficiency to review and understand financially related data as it applies to Oil and Gas operations Accounting
  • Formulate plans, solutions, and alternatives to resolve issues keeping in mind best practices; assurance to own and successfully execute on such plan.
