Job Description

Trico LivingWell:Trico LivingWell is a new older adult living community opening in Summer 2022 in Kingsland, Calgary. It is Canadas first Older Adult aging-in-place community pursuing the vigorously vetted WELL v2TM Certification from International WELL Building Institute – a premier framework and performance-based system for buildings with features that advance human health and well-being worldwide. Trico LivingWell offers a campus of care and services to independent living, assisted living, and dementia care accommodations respectful to individual rights, choices, needs, abilities and enjoyment.Job Summary:Reporting to the Office Administrator, Front Desk Receptionists are the first people to greet any resident returning to their home; and any visitors, volunteers, agencies visiting Trico LivingWell. The Front Desk Receptionist works in a fast paced environment and candidate must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while always maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. The primary role of this position is to monitor the building access and security, responding to residents and visitors, overseeing of front desk activities within Trico LivingWell, supporting and responding to Office Administrator related to administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising front entrance access - sign-in/out of residents, visitors, and contractors.
  • Provides visible and attentive security presence on the main floor at the Front Desk;
  • Answers incoming calls and caller’s inquiries and re-direct calls as appropriate.
  • Office duties such as filing, census, prepare invoices, maintain adequate inventory of office supplies, placing orders to different suppliers, etc.;
  • Types letters and memorandums as well as operates a variety of office equipment.
  • Responding to Emergency Call Bell requests and any other emergency requests.
  • Responding to requests from residents and visitors.
  • Gives clear and concise information during handover at the end of the shift, highlighting any events that have occurred; Write up incident reports as needed;
  • Keeps all residents’ information confidential;
  • Other duties and tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Front desk/administrative experience in security and customer service preferred;
  • High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education & experience;
  • Experience with crisis intervention and problem solving considered an asset;
  • Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience or willing to gain experience using CCTV security systems;
  • First aid certificate is an asset and will be required for the job position.

We are hiring for Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions to fill the following shifts 8 am to 4 pm, 4pm to 8pm on Weekdays and/or 8am to 2pm, 2pm to 8pm on Weekends Tentative Start Date: July 14,2022Thank you for all interested applicants.
