MINAS is a Brazilian Churrascaria or Steakhouse, we serve authentic Brazilian and Latin foods, and we also have a retail shop. We are known by the All-you-care-to-eat concept or Rodizio service. Since 2015 we have provided friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional Brazilian experience for all of our guests and we would like someone to join our team to help us continue doing that.Summary of Position:Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional food, drink, and retail experience for all our guests while working well with others. Their primary objective is to show our guests such a wonderful time they will want to return again and again.Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant service.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, individually or as team member.Must have “Soft Skills”: Positive Attitude, Energetic, Customer Service, Conflict Resolution, Proactive, Attention to detail.Must be able to communicate and understand our guests in English.Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).Must be able to work weekends and holidays and adjust schedule as required to business needs.Must be able to safely lift and easily manoeuvre trays of drinks or glasses, food or plates weighing up to 25 pounds.Must possess basic math skills, be able to handle money and know cash-out procedures.Must possess Teamwork Skills: Effective Communication, Time management, Problem-solving, Listening, Critical thinking and Collaboration. Always ready and willing to assist fellow servers or coworkers in general as situations arise.Must know the front and back of the house workflows, service procedures and functions. Including among others:

• Monitoring and observing guests’ dining or retail experience.

• Ensuring guests are satisfied with the products, food and service from beginning to end.

• Plating and garnishing items and packing them if required.

• Being proficient in the operation of Credit Cards, POS (TouchBistro, Shopify), Table Management (Sevenrooms and OpenTable), Delivery Systems (3rd party Apps) systems.

• Retail selling, pricing, and inventory management procedures.

• Hosting procedures online, text, social media and over the phone.

• Preparing the dining room for reservations and turning of tables.

• Knowing take-out procedures, selling, managing inventory, and managing live order on the various Delivery Apps,

• Completing daily cleaning duties, basic dishwashing, polishing, roll-ups.

• Knowing how to prepare beverages and serve wine.

• Preparing the final bill, present to guest, accept payment, and process gift cards, credit card charges or change if applicable.

Education: Secondary school graduation.Must live in Calgary.Spanish and Portuguese are an asset.Driver’s LicenseHours: Part-time leading to Full-TimeRate starts at: $16 plus gratuities.Daily Meals included.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 30 per weekSalary: From $16.00 per hourAdditional pay:
