Fundraiser Permanent Part-timeThe successful candidate will work remotely but located in the Calgary or Airdrie area Realize Your Potential Youth Society is seeking to hire an enthusiastic FundraiserOrganizational History & BackgroundThe Realize Your Potential Youth Society is a comprehensive mentoring and STEM education initiative for 8 – 24-year-old descendants of the African diaspora. We offer a variety of programs giving members the skills, knowledge, and motivation to feel empowered, connected, and ready to realize their full potential.Our missionTo provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space where descendants of the African diaspora can foster relationships, overcome obstacles, build confidence, and gain opportunities they can use to enrich their lives.Our Values

We are looking for a driven fundraiser to raise funds for the organization. The fundraisers responsibilities include developing fundraising programs, recruiting sponsors and encouraging support through promotional activities. You should also develop and maintain professional relationships.To be successful as a fundraiser, you should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong leadership qualities. Ultimately, a top-notch fundraiser should be able to perform under pressure, possessing exceptional organizational and presentation skills.Fundraiser Responsibilities:
  • Researching potential sponsors.
  • Writing funding proposals and sending these to potential sponsors.
  • Creating marketing and promotional activities.
  • Developing fundraising events.
  • Maintaining records of sponsors.
  • Organizing campaigns that will lead to donations.
  • Training volunteers.
Fundraiser Requirements:
  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in a fundraising position.
  • Creativity and persuasion skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $18.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:
  • Monday to Friday
