Accommodations are available during the hiring process, upon request.As a Gymnastics/Trampoline Instructor, you will plan, implement and teach recreational gymnastics and/or trampoline programs to help participants develop their skill base and knowledge in this area. Primary duties include:

  • Teach specific gymnastics and/or trampoline skills to participants.
  • Develop lesson plans and resources for programs. Provide safety expertise for participants.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies and facility space.
  • Maintain program records and assist with program evaluation and documentation.
  • Provide positive role modelling and give direction to junior leaders and/or volunteers when required.
Qualifications
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Current Standard First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level "C", and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications are required.
  • National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) level 1 or 2 in gymnastics or trampoline and/or a NCCP level 1 or 2 in trampoline technical and practical certification is required.
  • Possess a clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search. Date of completion must be within the last 12 months
  • Previous leadership and instructional experience in gymnastics and/or trampoline programs, preferably working with youth.
  • Effective communication, leadership and teamwork skills along with the ability to take initiative.

  • A valid Security Clearance must be provided.
