Just like that.™All career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting.OverviewThe Head of Facility Operations - Customer Fulfillment Centre in Alberta, will work closely with the Director, E-Commerce Fulfillment Center Operations to build, design, install, and operate a highly automated, state of the art, Ecommerce customer facility.Job Description

• Fulfillment center design, build and installation
• Assist with construction of the facility and all material handling equipment (including design, build, installation, and testing) in partnership with Ocado
• Manage day-to-day fulfillment center operations
• Own operations and financials of the fulfillment center to deliver e-commerce P&L
• Leverage Ocado warehouse management system and tools to achieve targets for product availability, accuracy, freshness, and waste
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people
• Work with forecasting and replenishment and delivery operations team to maximize fulfillment center capacity and receiving dock utilization
• Lead fulfillment center management and staff
• Be an inspirational leader with high performing site leadership team
• Highly visible, actively engaging with operational teams at all levels
• Cascade strategic objectives, align focus, and instill attention to detail
• Embrace change and always look for better ways of working
• Set high standards of performance and encourage mistakes to be learned from
• Develop culture of integrity, engagement and improvement at all levels
• Work with food safety and quality team on operational standards and processes

Job Requirements

• Experience building and operating an automated fulfillment centers (including start up site)
• Experience owning and managing large-scale budgets
• Ability to build, lead, and develop large team and maintain workforce stability
• Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
• Ability to partner with leadership team on e-commerce strategies
• Ability to analyze data and determine improvement opportunities (ideally using lean techniques)
• Collaborative with logical thinking and problem solving capability
• Practical, hands-on, and detailed when managing day-to-day operations
• Comfortable with data and technology
• Resilient and adaptable to fast-paced environment
• 8 years experience working in Supply Chain and Logistics for E-commerce or Retail
• Bachelors Degree or a combination of relevant work experience
• Experience managing fulfillment center operations and financials
• Experience building and leading high performance teams
• Solid organizational, interpersonal, time management and problem solving skills
• Proven track record of managing major projects on time and on budget
• Experience in Fresh / Food beneficial but not required
