Your Opportunity:Are you a skilled facilitator and project manager able to lead information design and mobilization strategies for health promotion programs Communicable Disease Control (CDC) is seeking a Knowledge Translation (KT) Coordinator to engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to support the development, maintenance, dissemination, and evaluation of CDC guidance and training resources. This position has the responsibility for developing project goals, objectives, and plans; facilitating educational/training sessions; and managing the information design and knowledge mobilization strategies in the provincial CDC program (e.g., communication strategies, knowledge transfer), to ensure creation of resources that are high-quality, evidence-based, and appropriate for the target audience. The KT Coordinator will lead and consult others to identify innovative solutions (e.g., new technologies/software) to solve complex problems, while demonstrating sensitivity and discretion. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal) are required; writing reports, project and communication plans, facilitating meetings, mobilizing diverse groups, and building consensus. The KT Coordinator recognizes the opportunity for change and sets priorities accordingly (change readinesss assessment, maintenance, sustainability, and evaluation of change). A high degree of initiative and strong time management skills in a fast-paced work environment is required. The KT Coordinator must be proficient with Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.) to manipulate data, develop process maps, decision-making algorithms, training tools, etc. This is a remote position that may require occasional travel into a designated CDC site depending on operational requirements. 2 Positions AvailableDescription:As a Health Promotion Facilitator II, you will lead and coordinate health promotion, disease and injury prevention initiatives and programs using a population health promotion approach. You will identify behavioural, social, political, economic, environmental and organizational factors that promote or compromise health and recommend evidence-informed strategies to address identified priorities. You will conduct situational analyses, literature reviews, environmental scans and focus groups to make recommendations as part of an integrated program planning and evaluation process. You will manage projects using standardized tools and techniques that are conducive or aligned with health promotion, disease and injury prevention practices. You will collaborate with key internal and external key stakeholders in project or program planning, development, implementation, evaluation and improvement. You will facilitate community and staff engagement and build community and staff capacity around population health promotion priorities. You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing health promotion and disease prevention strategies and make recommendations.
