Job Description

DescriptionRenfrew Educational Services is an independent school and acknowledged leader in program development for children with special needs and children who are typically developing. For over 48 years, Renfrew has offered a wide range of programs and services to children from Calgary and surrounding areasPosition SummaryWe are currently accepting applications for a Part-time Human Resources Administrator to join our dynamic Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources and working 3 days a week, the Human Resources Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration of the Human Resources functions while providing guidance and support to management and staff.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading full recruitment cycle including, posting jobs, searching resumes, prescreening candidates, scheduling interviews as directed, references and tracking new hire onboarding documents.
  • Assist managers/supervisors with internal and external interviews.
  • Provide support to the Managers of Human Resources with various functions of Human Resources including transfers, terminations, WCB process and long-term disability.
  • Working collaboratively with the Payroll Specialist.
  • Oversee the group benefits plan.
  • Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures.
  • Provides back-up support to the Human Resources Assistant.
  • Participate in HR Projects as requested .
Minimum Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field. Completion of HR Management Certificate Courses including Fundamentals of Human Resources Management or combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources or Payroll department.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, SharePoint, Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)or databases.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources Functions including Full-cycle recruitment, Benefits Administrations, Employee Relations.
  • Experience working in not-for-profit is an asset.
