In collaboration with Human Resources Team, the successful candidate’s primary focus will be to assist inthe planning, development, coordinating implementation, and administration of a wide variety of people resources-focused initiatives, strategies and programs.If you are a results orientated HR Coordinator who is dedicated to service excellence in the areas of occupationalhealth & safety, talent acquisition, disability leave coordination, employee relations, and policy & proceduredevelopment and interpretation, this role is ideal for you.RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with the development, implementation and administration of new progressive strategic HR services inoccupational health & safety, talent acquisition, disability leave of absences, employee relations, and policy &procedure application. Lead full cycle talent acquisition for key roles including the creation & implementation of job descriptions, jobclassification, postings, pre-screening, interview guides, and other related on-boarding needs. Ensures all people policies & practices are updated in compliance with legislative, best practices andorganizational wide changes Support with identifying barriers and opportunities to providing relevant and meaningful HR programs & services Supports with the development of employee and leader resources and communications such as health & safetymanual, employee handbooks, forms, user guides, HR templates, wellness resources, newsletters, and HR policy& procedures. Provides consultative and coaching support to leaders on best practice recruitment & selection approaches,policy & procedure navigation, legislative compliance, disability management and University wide people focusedsolutions Represents Human Resources interests on various internal committees and working groups HR administration and support work such as assisting with the management of HR databases,tracking/communication systems, personnel files, data entry, reports, auditing and tracking information, research,and benchmarking as required Supports with streamlining and digitizing HR operations to elevate HR service excellence Provide coverage and support for HR Team Members Additional projects and duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: This dynamic role requires our ideal candidate to possess a minimum of a degree/diploma in Human Resourcescomplemented by 3+ years related work experience as an HR professional specializing in policy & programdevelopment, occupational health & safety and full cycle recruitment. A positive, “can-do” attitude with customer focused approach which will enable you to deal with challengingsituations with integrity, empathy and sincerity Dynamic, results orientated, adaptable to change and enjoys proactively managing multiple priorities and timelines Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Exceptional networking and presentation skills, ability to represent the University and build relationships withinternal stakeholders and external partners Excellent organization skills, ability to effectively multi-task and attention to details are critical. Strong coaching skills, proven collaborative and influencing skills with all levels of an organization Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
