As part of this unwavering commitment to safety, all ATCO employees and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated.Description:ATCO Frontec is seeking an Indigenous Relations Advisor to join our team. The Indigenous Relations Coordinator is focused on event and file coordination, ensuring Frontec meets its reporting requirements, and liaising with communities.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the Frontec Indigenous Relations Team, including meetings and working with IR members across the organization
  • Organize events including invitations, meeting setup and day-of support
  • Write Indigenous Relations/Indigenous Benefits Plan content for bids and reports
  • Record, analyze and input information that relates to the wider-Frontec group to SharePoint site
  • Develop and maintain tracking on elements of tracking Key Performance Indicators as well as in all areas
  • Maintain, monitor and submit Frontec’s Indigenous Relations reporting requirements for clients
  • Track attendance of IR team at events, conferences, and training opportunities
  • Handle external and internal inquiries as required
  • Advise Management and staff on matters of protocol and cultural sensitivities with respect to interacting with various Indigenous communities, groups, and individuals
  • Attend community events and facilitate presentations
  • Develops long term relationships with Indigenous communities, strengthening customer base, and constantly seeking out new customers and sales opportunities for driving revenue and achieving earnings targets
Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate should hold 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • The successful candidate should hold a degree in a related discipline. A combination of education, professional designation(s) and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with Indigenous communities with understanding of the related cultural diversity and community capacity.
  • Strong competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to effectively and efficiently solve problems
  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills including, written, verbal and presentation skills.
