Your TeamAs a part of our Calgary Homes division, you will be responsible for supporting the Showhome Coordinator in creating and executing the vision for Calgary Homes' showhomes from concept, selections to merchandizing. In addition, with support from the Studio Manager, you will support the Interior Design team with product management, inventory and merchandizing.Please note that this is a summer internship opportunity.Your Key DeliverablesSupport showhome coordinator with showhome timelines, including major milestones requiring walkthroughs and or site meetingsAttend showhome site meetingsDevelop strong knowledge base in current interior design trends and customerAttend quality control walkthroughs of showhomes for installation guidelines and note potential product concerns including Electrical / Framing Walk, Tile Walk, Paint and Flooring Walks as assignedProvide prompt response to all communication requesting informationSupport selection, purchase and inventory management of all showhome and feature home furniture and accessories including use, cataloguing and storage and sale/donationAid in staging and merchandizing of all showhomes and/or feature homes through coordination of third partyStudio administration support as requiredNurture and maintain collaborative and successful relationships with third party interior designers, merchandizers, art providers, trades, suppliers and vendors with the purpose of ensuring our showhomes are of the highest quality and trendPreconstruction through completion meeting with vendors and trades to ensure accuracy of vision to deliverable as required.Represent the Brookfield Residential brand and culture in a positive manner at allMust HavesWorking towards a post-secondary education; specifically an Interior Design or Interior Decorating Degree/Diploma will be considered an assetMerchandizing experience considered an assetStrong Computer/Microsoft Office SkillsHighly organized and detail oriented with great communication skillsAbility to create and maintain strong relationship with team, trade partners, and customersAbility to work flexible hoursValid driver's licenseYour OpportunityWe are proud to offer our employees what they value most:Competitive compensationWork-life balanceCharitable donation matchingA culture based on our values of Passion, Integrity and CommunityYour New HomeBrookfield Residential is a leading North American land developer and homebuilder with one goal in mind - to create the best places to call home.
