We will train you on US tax matters but we are looking someone that is eager to learn US tax and related regulations and become proficient in preparing US tax returns and provide US tax advice.Examples of the candidate’s responsibilities include:Working on a team that focuses on a wide range of tax specialty areas. This can include accounting for income taxes, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, and not for profit organizations.Completing tax planning and researchPreparing federal and state & local tax returnsUnderstanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncementsPreparing working papers to support the tax return and filing positionsCalling the IRS and state authorities to resolve IRS notices and state notices Basic Qualifications:Working to get a bachelor’s degreeWilling to do an 8 month internshipAccounting/ Finance or Business majorExperience working in public accounting is preferred but not required.Preferred Qualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work effectively on a teamAbility to work and multitask in a fast-paced environmentIn accordance with applicable law and RSM policy, prospective hires will be required to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
