We thus offer effective and proactive strategies with a long-term vision to meet the requirements of the digital age.How will you contribute to the teamThe Smart Networks and Cybersecurity business unit is looking for a telecom project engineer to assume the responsibilities of planning, organizing and coordinating architecture activities related to network architectures (target) and solution architectures. Architecture activities meet the needs of programs, projects and non-projects.The architectural activities for which close management required are related to the IP domain, including hqt's substation digitization programme, the modernisation of power grid control systems, the evolution of the MPLS network and the evolution of the telecommunications infrastructure of the data centres to work on a detailed wiring engineering mandate inside substations and power plants.This includes the arrival at the sites of cables from the external network (fibre optic cable and copper pair cable) and structured cabling for the information technology network (telephony, warning, IP network and computer).To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Assumes the coordination of architectural activities including planning, organization and coordination.Ensure compliance with budgets and milestones associated with architectural activities.Mobilize the staff of other units to work in a matrix perspective of carrying out architectural activities.Define the scope of the architecture as well as requirements, responsibilities, deliverables and measurement indicators.Prepare and manage workshops, ensure the completion of architectural activities and meet the milestones set.Report on the monitoring of architecture activities to business programs based on commitments and milestones.Provides expert advice and advice to unit staff on the management of architectural activities.What will you contribute8 years of experience in architectural mandate management in the field of telecommunications.Knowledge of telecommunications transport network in one or more of the following areas: optical, wireless, IP-MPLS, telecommunications data center infrastructure.Experience in writing reports, summaries and dashboards.Ability to coordinate several files, specific and multidisciplinary studies simultaneously and to lead multidisciplinary teams.Ability to maintain effective and harmonious relationships with peers, other units involved and business programs.Great concern for meeting the customer's needs.Ability to make the right decisions.Ability to work in a team.What do we offer at SNC-LavalinOpportunity to work on various projects of various sizes.Competitive salary.Flexible benefits.Defined contribution pension plan in which SNC-Lavalin contributes.Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP).Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Learning and Development programs, training, career opportunities.At SNC-Lavalin, we seek to hire candidates with diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives.
