Your Opportunity:The Integration Analyst manages the Integration Engine applications on a province wide basis to enable sustainable quality health care programs and services. The Integration Analyst reports to the Manager, pHIE Integration Engines and is a member of an application support team. The Integration Analyst is responsible for the following outcomes: Working independently with minimal guidance to ensure reliable operations of province wide Integration Engines that affect the achievement of the Integration Engines operational, project, and service objectives. Resolving complex problems while working independently with minimal guidance by applying best practices and high level guidelines or policies. Facilitates the ability for many disparate clinical (and some non-clinical) systems to communicate electronically. Taking a new perspective on existing information technology systems to find solutions to customer business needs. Leading projects with limited size, risk, complexity, potentially including responsibility for expenditure monitoring and cost control.Description:As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. Design and develop robust services following established ITIL processes and the standard SDLC. Must have great attention to detail. Work independently with minimal guidance by applying best practices. Follow all protocols to ensure all solutions are thoroughly tested in order to ensure the stability of production system operations Create and update technical documentation. Uses specialized knowledge to investigate, diagnose, and resolve integration engines system problems to enable the electronic communication between systems on a province wide basis. Coordinates with other IT analysts and business support personnel on problem scope, impact, and characteristics and identifies complex problems’ causes; makes appropriate decisions on resolution and interim work around. Monitors systems to ensure stable operations and optimum performance of systems are proactively maintained. Creates and updates support documents and procedures. Clear, effective written and spoken English is an essential requirement for this position. Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in information technology. Experience with ITIL processes. Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills. Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Participates in 24 hour on call rotation.Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience in the development and operation of enterprise integration in a healthcare environment. Oracle certified professional Java SE 8 programmer. Java programming, UNIX operating systems, UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL, SQL and Oracle. Working knowledge of Java 8 concurrency and networking APIs. Experience writing technical and procedural documentation. Knowledge of technology industry best practice relating to software applications. Certification in HL7 v2 is preferred.
