Currently Alberta Health Services is looking for a Casual IT Analyst II to join the Millennium Application General Lab Support Team. Providing day-to-day support for Millennium’s existing lab clients the successful Analyst will bring hands on experience with fast paced location builds/changes, building/modifying procedures, testing with SCM (Sunrise Clinical Manager) and other downstream systems, in order to efficiently analyze, problem solve and collaborate with operational clients. The IT Analyst will also rely on proven communication skills to gain cooperation and build trust with a variety of stakeholders. The skills will include the ability to research and present solutions as well as effective writing skills in the documentation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). In order to respond efficiently to a range of application requests and meet service level agreements you bring hands on experience troubleshooting, testing, configuring and integration support of order/result data. The IT Analyst will also participate in continuous improvement projects as well as the ongoing support and development of Millennium and/or related applications.Description:As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.
