Job Description

Your Opportunity:The IT Centre of Expertise (COE) is searching for a professional with in-depth experience designing and developing SharePoint (SP) front end solutions through optimizing out-of-the-box services. This individual has a strong technical background in SP supporting technologies. Additionally, this position supports the broader IT Learning Services team with logistical educational responsibilities including maintenance of training rooms and the Learning Management System (LMS). Responsibilities / Duties: Maintain and enhance existing SharePoint sites for the IT COE portfolio. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, information architecture discussions, requirements gathering, and business process evaluations. Plan and Configure: SP services (Search, Term Store, Workflow); SP site features (Content Organizer, Publishing, Document ID); site, lists, libraries, navigational structures, site permissions. Plan and configure: SP content management features (content types, versioning, co-authoring, metadata & filtering, views, workflow, search, and policies). Establish governance plans and standards for SP sites. Present designs and proof of concepts. Perform user acceptance testing. Provide expert opinion and recommendations for the IT COE SP site owners. Provide mentorship and educate for colleagues related to SP. Investigate product delivery and customer support issues. Support IT Learning Services infrastructure, including the LMS courses/session as well as on site training room workstation maintenance.Description:As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. Ability to rapidly prototype and communicate concepts. Proficient knowledge of various web and service technologies including: SharePoint (2013, 2019 on premise). Front-end development technologies (ie: HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, REST, ASP.NET, XSLT). Proficient with Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, InfoPath. Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Captivate. Excellent communication skills in English written and verbal forms for corporate communication.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a large organization.
