Job Description

IT - Data Analysis is one of the most important assets of our award-winning Calgary team. We’re looking for a dedicated, locally-based professional to serve as an IT - Data Analyst, contributing to the growth of our Team. This is your chance to work with the country’s top performers.The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking, experienced IT- Data Analyst who will research current and emerging technology, design and implement functional and cost-efficient IT systems, as well as collect data, and present analysis to our sales team. You will also prioritize user requirements and oversee system upgrades, living in our CRM to provide feedback on optimization. In this critical role, you will also be highly analytical and able to understand our varied business needs. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential. Your goal will be to leverage tech solutions to meet organizational needs today and in the future, and provide comprehensive data to our sales team that supports our advisors and drives productivity.If you have a hands-on background working on technical projects and eat data for breakfast, we want to meet you.Compensation:$55,000 - $65,000Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with leadership and advisors to understand their requirements
  • Research and implement new technology and/or systems that elevate system functionality
  • Design efficient IT systems to meet current and future business and technology needs
  • Integrate multiple systems and reconcile the needs of different teams
  • Gather system performance feedback from end users
  • Plan and oversee technical projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • Provide technical training on new technology
  • Keep up-to-date on technology trends and developments
  • Utilize historical data sets and planned product changes to model and forecast business trends
  • Oversee tracking and reporting on department initiatives and status reports
  • Analyze the database for trends in our CRM and provide results to the sales team
  • Examine and evaluate existing business practices and systems, and offer recommendations to create efficiency and streamline operations, while maintaining or increasing compliance rates
  • Apply predictive analysis and tools to forecast and employ business analytics (including an enhanced ability to quantify and qualify data)
Qualifications:
  • Based in Calgary
  • BSc/BA in Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics Mathematical, Engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of one year of experience handling a database with large datasets
  • Hands-on background in project management
  • Knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of business practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of additional databases, such as FUB, is an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis software such as SPSS to provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Ability to handle in-depth research and utilize data obtained to develop concise summaries
  • Applicants must be capable of presenting their findings clearly via reports and oral presentations to senior colleagues
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail
