Valo Networks Corporation an organization striving to build and develop Fiber to the Premise (FttP) Networks and Services to mostly rural Canadians. As an IT Technical Lead with Valo Networks you will provide, leadership & technical expertise including all facets of information technology ecosystem; as well as provide support for assigned projects.Position reports into the Business Services Manager.Key Responsibilities:Manage new incident intake process.Own support issues to ensure our internal and external clients get the best customer service possible.Manage release management process. As a key member of the OSS / BSS deployment program, the Team Lead will be key to drive technical product outcomes particularly in production environments.Accountability for Dev, staging and production environments supporting all facets of Valo’s businessKnowledge of TM Forum’s eTOM OSS / BSS models.Strong ITSM domain knowledgeBuild ITIL, OSS / BSS architecture & design models.Support leadership in Stakeholder management and negotiation.Work in close coordination with internal customers & stakeholders to solicit, define and validate system requirements.Coordinate and manage vendor deliverables.Create project documentation, templates as needed.Identify problem root causes and assist with review and correction of system or process issues.Provide timely status updates to stakeholders & customers as required.Successfully manage competing priorities and navigate within ambiguity.Define and Manage application roadmaps.Create detailed documentation of issues encountered, including steps to reproduce, internal and external communication regarding the issue, and the resolution or next steps.Keep training manuals, help documents, and in-system help cues up to date; this may include providing new content, feedback on material or assistance understanding the application.System software design and debugging skills.Detailed knowledge and experience of design, installation, integration and test methods in product environment.Enterprise experience with platform software development and technical infrastructure projects.Key Skills and Competencies:7+ years experience in a lead System Administration role.Preference will be given to candidates with Telecom experience.Must also be willing to roll up the sleeves and work on miscellaneous tasks in non-related areas to help build the company (startup mentality).Experience analyzing/supporting ERP systems spanning Prospecting, CRM, Order Management, Billing and collections.Experience in Agile, SCRUM required.ITIL Certification requiredProven ability to pick up new software quicklyStrong ability to anticipate and respond to and define and resolve issues.Ability to develop and facilitate internal and customer requirement, process definition and root cause analysis workshops.A strong promoter of collaboration but not afraid to have straight to the point discussions with peers and vendors.Time management / ability to support multiple tasks simultaneously.Analytical and critical thinking mindset that is results oriented.Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong customer service skillsExcellent English communication skills, written & verbal
