From the initial site selection, consultation and regulatory approval, through the construction, operation and maintenance phases, to conclusion and environmental cleanup, Vertex offers a diverse range of services throughout the life cycle of our clients’ projects.OVERVIEWVertex is currently accepting applications for one full-time Junior Administrator. The successful candidate will be assisting with day to day operations of the company and providing administrative support to our Land and Environment teams. The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks / projects while remaining highly organized in a fast paced, high demand work environment.CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or higher education related to accounting, business or related field
  • Must have excellent communication skills working with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and is a self-starter
  • Proficient at data entry with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with an ability to prioritize work and effectively meet deadlines
  • Strong team building and relationship skills, ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills are preferred, i.e. formulas, pivot tables, charts/graphs
  • Ability to work independently, focus oriented and self-motivated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide general administrative support and perform reception tasks
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all employees
  • Compile data and other required information as needed
  • Prepare and format reports and project specific updates to a database
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  • Other various administrative duties as required or directed by direct supervisor or manager
LOCATION
  • This position will be based out of our Calgary office located at 4240 Blackfoot Trail SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2G 4E6.
