Job Description

Kelly is now hiring! Our client located in Calgary, AB hiring a Junior Buyer for a 1-year contract assignment. If you’re a team player and are looking for the opportunity to gain experience with a dynamic multinational company while working from home, we want to talk to you!Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 am- 4:30 pm ( Remote)Pay Rate: $25.00- $30.00/hourPlease note; this is a temporary position, but with exceptional work performance the company may consider hiring the right candidates as full-time employees once they gain experience in the role.Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of equipment, spare parts, and associated repair and maintenance services in coordination with operational requirements
  • Execute Purchase Orders and Service Contracts with selected suppliers within the ORACLE Fusion procurement system.
  • Manage the supplier from award through to on-site delivery for products and services.
  • Manage and conduct supplier feedback and performance assessments.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the flow of equipment and spare parts through the procurement life-cycle
  • Monitoring the daily operations of procurement activities and reporting progress to the Lead Procurement Specialist
  • Responsible for logistic tasks related to the timely delivery of equipment and spare parts the to site and management of fleet relocation
  • Review and approve suppliers’ invoices within the ORACLE Fusion procurement system.
  • Develop a constructive and professional relationship with all key stakeholders within the business
  • Actively contribute to annual savings targets, challenging supplier costs wherever possible.
  • Administrative Tasks and Data Collection
Job Requirements:
  • 2-3 years procurement experience required.
  • College/University degree or diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced level in Excel ( use of pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience in managing the procurement of relevant goods and related services and knowledge of the supplier base is advantageous (aviation/fuel distribution)
  • Experience in managing both goods and service provision purchase orders and contracts
  • Strong negotiation / Vendor Management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with only a degree of supervision, capable of building relationships with key stakeholders and vendors remotely
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
  • French speaking preferred but not required
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines is essential.
